EMFA ridicules Papon

GUWAHATI, April 25: Electronic Media Forum, Assam (EMFA) has expressed shock
and dismay at, what it says, the audacity of a popular singer Angarag Papon
Mahanta for dictating terms for the electronic media. The forum has asked the
singer to keep away from such activities in future. According to reports, while
performing at a Bihu function in Pathshala last night, Papon was engaged in
debates with the on-duty camera persons of local news channels and indirectly
scolded the camera persons for focusing over an unwanted incident that took
place among the audience during his performance. “Angarag Mahanta should devote
more time and energy for his creations rather than indulging in unnecessary
debates with the media persons. He should not forget that millions of audience
become accessible for him instantly because of our people covering the
programmes live in different television channels,” said a statement issued by
the forum.
