Sanitary napkin-vending machine to be installed at GPC Guwahati: With an aim to address the periodical problems of ladymember-journalists, a sanitary napkin-vending machine will be installed atGuwahati Press Club. The coin-based automatic machine, sponsored by Junior ChamberInternational Guwahati Angels will be inaugurated at 3 pm on Wednesday (27 July2016). Promoting the hygiene, anincinerator to destroy the used napkins will also be installed by JCI Guwahati verysoon at the press club premises.It may be mentioned that the JCI has taken upthe target to install over 1000 such machines across India within this year. Inspiredby Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hygiene & cleanliness drive theorganization has already installed such machines at Cotton College (girls’common room and hostel), Nichols School, Sisters Feliation Home, Saint Marys School Maligaon in the city.
