Esteemed friends from Assam & Northeast of India residing in US and abroad are cordially requested to help Gauhati University to establish its long desired GU oversea Alumni Chapter at US. Gauhati University was established in 1948 and since then it has been nurturing the talents of this remote part of India particularly from Northeastern region and contributing immensely to developing human resources in the country.
At present the GU authorities has been planning to establish a strong connection with our people from Assam and Northeast who are successfully working in their professions in varied sectors in different countries across the globe. GU wants to develop linkage through developing its Alumni connection. GU strongly believes that our prominent Alumni are always able to establish our identity in the world. In February, 2016 GU attempted to open up a GU Alumni Association, Europe Chapter in London and we were successful in doing that with the help of many of our past/present students and more importantly with the help of many of our well wishers who did hard work as GU is being loved by all. We shall be grateful, if you help us in our attempt to connect our people who are always remembering their motherland from abroad. Your suggestions in this regard will be highly appreciated.
