The Strength Within-Success story of an entrepreneur :: Back in 2001, Mr. Rajarshi Gogoi, elder son of Late Hemo Kr. Gogoi an eminent industrialist of Assam in late 90’s started his entrepreneurial journey at an age of 20. Mr. Rajarshi took responsibility of one of his father’s printing business which was closed down in the middle of 1990 due to technological shift.
Mr. Rajarshi gogoi established a DTP centre in the name and style of “M/s. The Assam Computers(https://www.theassamcomputers.com/)” which was given by his father Late Hem Kumar Gogoi. The DTP centre started its operation with a rented computer set along with a former employee of his father’s Mr. Bhugen Kakoty in a 10” x 5” rented room at Partbotia area, Tinsukia, Assam. In 2016, Tinsukia District Administration and District Industries Commerce Centre (DICC), Govt. Of Assam was awarded “Entrepreneurship Award 2016” to Mr. Rajarshi Gogoi on 15th August, 2016 with a Trophy and Certificate. Today, The Assam Computers has adopted advance Pre-Press, Press and Post-Press machineries from reputed manufacturer of India and abroad, employing 40+ young boys and girls of nearby areas through skill based training. Assam Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (AIIDC) a Govt. Of Assam undertaking has allotted a 8,500 sq. ft area to The Assam Computers for expansion at Industrial Estate, Tinsukia. The Assam Computers is a registered commercial printing industry under MSME, Govt. Of India, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) Govt. Of India and “A”category approved press by Printing and Stationery Department, Govt.
