I do have ONE word of criticism :-) for Adip :
I took trouble to point out the names and achievements of some of our kharkhowa women here in the USA. But they got omitted. I hope our journalists would take a more emancipated view of our women, than they might culturally be attuned to. cm >But as a journalist he could have done more information gathering. ** In Adip 's defence I must add that we had a very short window of time to discuss the probaxi oxomiya community in the USA. Actually I give them high marks for their interest. I rattled off as many names, qualifications, achievements as I could while both Chaya and Adip frantically and furiously took note. They also missed some , and slightly mixed details on this and that. But such are to be expected in this kind of extremely rushed itineraries and interviews. Since I feel a bit responsible for many of the omissions, I hope readers would excuse both myself and Adip and Chaya for our collective errors and the omissions. We wished we had advance notice of their visit. We got a call from Chaya on Friday evening just before we were going out for the evening. And we had our Saturday evening booked from a long ago set outing with some friends. Had they or us had that opportunity, we could have done a much better job of giving them better, more organized information, in a more leisurely environment, with a larger gathering of our kharkhowa community in St. Louis. cm At 12:52 PM -0400 9/23/02, Bharat B wrote: > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Today's >Pratidin published a long report from St Louis. >Rajen Barua Excellent article indeed.
