I think its strange that the same police who could have staged the
encounter are asked to protect the doctor. who is he hiding from ?
if his account is true, he needs to hide from police coercion not
have a grinning ACP outside his door!
the press / NHRC - why hide. his safety lies now in being vocal
and in public eye always.

as for melodrama, isnt dear arundhoti enough in india ?
rumpelstiltskin, creating her own republic an all that.
