Hello all Assmese friends in US I am Utpola Borah, an ethnomusicologist from American Institute of Indian Studies, Delhi, India. I am here to give a lecture on "Bohag Bihu festival of Assam: past and present" in Mind and religion in India class of the dept. of South Asian Studies at the Univ.of Penn. My lecture is schedule on 18th March,2003 between 3 to 4PM. I am going to show some video and steel photographs of Bihu performances taken in the Bihu time in Assam. I here by would like to invite you for the same. It will be very nice to meet some of my native friends. I will be here till end of April, 2003. Hope to get your reply soon.
