The RAPA is the only organisation that includes entries for radio and television programme in all the Indian languages other than Hindi. At a glittering function held at the Taj Land End Hotel in Mumbai the award for Bideshat Apun Manuh was given by the Mahabharat and Shaktiman fame television actor Mukesh Khanna. The RAPA also gave award of excellence to Shekhar Suman for anchoring in Simply Shekhar, Manish Behl for acting a Sanjivni Sudesh Bhosle for outstanding voice performance among others. The all round contribution to media award was given to noted journalist and Rajya Sabha MP Pritish Nandy. The campaign of the year award was bagged by Aaj Tak. The function was anchored by popular MTV Veejays Ramona and Vivian.
