Dear Assamese Community,
To fulfill a longtime desire I visited Majuli with three other friends from Guwahati during Bihu time.It was I opening for me to experience such a store house of precious cultural treasures of Assam in a perfect and serene village setting. There will be a big CONFERENCE in Koliapani, Tiok on March 26,27 and 28 / 2004 organized by The Auniati Satra. So I was requested by the Satradhikar Sri Sri Dr. Pitambar Deva Goswami to pass on his invitation letter to the Assamese Community of North America. Please see the Attachment.

P.S. Tawang is also another great cultural heritage of Buddhist Arunachal with its Beautiful Monastery second to Lhasa. It is a real Sangri La to visit.I visited just before Bihu when it was still snowing but was not that severely cold.But I was told that itis best to visit Tawang in October-November. Permit could be aquired in Guwahati,Tejpur etc. easily.
