A friend of mine (Asian) which was in Hawaii for a couple of years mentioned that this myth is wrong. Mainlanders and even Asians have landed property in HAwaii. In fact a quick search on Internet will find you tonns of real estate agents welcoming mainlanders to buy property in Hawaii .... one of the site says "For those who are planning a trip to the Big Island with the intention of buying property, and who decide to use our services," (Refer : http://www.robertshawaiirealestate.com/) May be other claims by CM on Hawaii too are incorrect...... someone might take it up as a research Project to find out which of the claims are correct !
