. People are realising that Hindutva
means development and growth of our culture, our
economy, and overeall increase in strength of our
people around the world. Since, most of you guy live
in abroad, please let us know if you are also feeling
a change in perception about Hindutva in your mind.
best regards,<<
I have read numbers of interpretation of Hindutva, advanced by intellectuals holding the view that it is an aggressive cult and a clear distortion of non-aggressive Hinduism, even though the Supreme Court has not found any distinction between the two terms etymologically. The term Hindutva is derived from two words--Hindu and tattva, which literally means Hindu principle.Any "ism" usually suggests narrow, limited ideology which follows set rules and guidelines.Anything outside of those definitions cannot be held to lie within the "ism".Therefore, any "ism" will have its own corresponding anti-ism,as well as itself containing certain aspects which are themselves anti-ism against other sets of beliefs, ideologies or philosophies. So, in my view, the only difference between Hinduism and Hindutva is the name and its accompanying connotations.
