Hi Kamal:
I have been very curious about what the Brahmaputra Board has put forth. I ha ve heard the name of this org. for years now. Also I heard the Union Water Resources minister Bijoya Chakravartyu of Guwahati passing the buck on to the Brahmaputra Board when somebody asked her about the so called Prelim. Report on the Brahmaputra and 'riverlinking' which seems to be missing. I realize I am not always with it, but I don't recall seeing anything concrete coming out of the enormous brain power coffers this august board must possess. What is the matter? Is it my bad, or is it that the Brahmaputra Board is all talk and no substance? cm At 8:41 PM -0500 3/5/04, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >In a message dated 3/5/04 7:19:29 PM Central Standard Time, >[EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: > > > >A new book called Brahmaputra Basin Water Resources was published last week, > co-edited by my nephew Professor Nayan Sharma,IIT Roorkee<< > > Please congratulate Prof. Sharmah on our behalf. > By the way, I am wondering if anyone remembers the setting up of the >Brahmaputra Board way back in the early part of 1980.I understand that a >comprehensive report was submitted after carrying out the detailed >studies. The report must be lost in the river of oblivion. This is, perhaps, >a case which proves that Center bites off more than it can chew. > Regards, > KJ Deka > > > > _______________________________________________ Assam mailing list >[EMAIL PROTECTED] >http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/mailman/listinfo/assamMailing list FAQ: >http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/assam/assam-faq.html To unsubscribe or change >options: http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/mailman/options/assam _______________________________________________ Assam mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/mailman/listinfo/assam Mailing list FAQ: http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/assam/assam-faq.html To unsubscribe or change options: http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/mailman/options/assam
