Greeks were wellknown for thier tragedy-dramas. In the drama, each actor plays his role in a heroic way towards a known end of death and peril. Today I have felt a sense of same tragedy when I was standing infront of the District court witnessing the nomination fielding of Deben Dutta, Bhriguda and Bhupenda. Each of them are playing their part in a heroic way, and yet all of them know that they are working towards the death of Axomiya Jati: three of them, our beloved one now fighting against each other when the Islam in Bangladesh is lurking to takeover Assam. what a tragedy! I felt a deep pain in my heart and left the scene immediately. Later on I sat with one of my old friend, an AASU activist of Mahanta/Bhrigu's day, then a hardcore ULFA of Paragda's days, and now an AGP leader in Guwahati. He is also sad, very sad. what had happened to us? what had happened to our movement of 1979-1985, where our brother/sister sacrificied, 606 swahid? and above all, our friends in !
ULFA who
took the death in their heart? and then this splitting of our force? I am with Bajrangdal, some of my friends are in AGP, or someone still in B'desh with ULFA, some in Congress? and, yet all of us has one thing in common: we deeply, very deeply felt and still feel for the progress of Axom, for the protection of our indigenous culture.
My dear friends, you know, today I feel extremely sad. but then I know that deep in my heart, all these are going to go away. Our sun will rise. All these that I see today will only be a temporary phase, a bad dream. Once again the glory of Bhaskar Varman will return to the land of Kamrupa. And, in Hindutva I give all my hope, my last ASHA.
