Indians under British rule openly discussed about autonomy and independence of India in spite of government resistance. People went to jail in hundreds and thousands. Thanks to the courageous leadership of Gandhi and Nehru. In a similar note, I have never seen any Assamese discussing about autonomy or independence of Assam from India during the last 50 years. It is because the Assamese are 'hobo diok' cowards. They simply do not have the courage to even to write about autonomy or independence out of fear from government. To day there are three groups of Assamese: 1) The majority 'Hobo Diok' group to whom everything is all right. In Sa Aallah. 2) The Cry babies who are simply complaining that the center if treating Assam as a step child. 3) The insurgent groups: These are also the angry Cry babies who are getting too emotional and resorting to violence out of frustration. All the above three groups are spineless cowards. None of the above groups has any positivr agenda. What Assam needs today is courageous leadership to lead these three groups showing a positive way.
