Hi Everyone
First, let me introduce myself. I am Siddharth Barua, originally from
Tezpur, right now in Delhi pursuing graduation in architecture. I
study in 2nd year in School of Planning and Architecture.
I have been assigned a very important task and it would be great on
your part as Assamese to help me out. We in our curriculum have a
subject called, History of Architecture. In this subject we look into
how architecture has developed through the ages. There is mention of
palaces and temples from all over India, like the stupas etc. about
which we study.
Few days back I questioned the professor who teaches us this subject
as to why the range of the subject is restricted to the clay temples
of Bengal only and not further east to Sivasagar and other places.
She was surprised to hear that we have such places of interest such
as Rang Ghar, Talatal Ghar, etc.
This has always been the fate of Assam, where we have got a step-
motherly behaviour. Now, my professor has promised me that if I am
able to give her enough study material and convince her that our
places of historical importance are as great as the rest of the
places, she will include Assam in our course and take care that
future batches of SPA get to know more about Assam.
Won't this be great? As far as the college is concerned, the Head of
the Department has also promised the same. It is possible as it is a
deemed university and it makes its own rules. I tried on my own but
haven't been able to progress.

references and links so that I can go ahead with this task.
