NATIONAL STUDENTS UNION OF INDIA (NSUI), the Students wing of ALL INDIA CONGRESS
PARTY(INC) in its never ending pursuit of patronising excellence is planning to organize
a mega concert on behalf of Zubeen Garg, the Assamese singing heart throb buoyed by his
latest success with the hit Number "YA ALI" in Guwahati in the early part of
November this year bringing together top guns of Bollywood like Anu Malik, Mahesh Bhatt,
Anurag Basu,music directors Pritam,Ranmjit Barot ,Anand Raj Anand. Shaan and Kunal
Ganjawala are also in the invitee list.
Zubeen the sensational music talent budding in the fertile soils of Assam, was
supported and guided by numerous personalities in bollywood in his endeavour to
get a foothold there .Artists like Anu Malik, Pritam, Director Mahesh Bhatt,
etc are his alma maters who in the due course contributed in many ways during
those struggle days. The concert will be a perfect platform for Zubeen and the
people of ASOM to thank those people in an elegant manner.
Another motive for the show is to erase the the unrealistic and vague
perceptions that is prevalent among the masses in the Indian mainstream that
there is more than mere bomb blasts and insurgency that this part of the nation
can offer. And that's the very essence of this beautiful place called North
East, a paradise that is still unexplored.. This event will work as a catalyst
to showcase the hidden part of North east.
NSUI's this endeavour requires all possible help and support in all the quarters ranging from logistics , programme management, coordination etc.
