Action taken till now:
We could locate the child and a nearby phone no. of "seller or child". I
was pretty upset since morning so could not respond. We were trying to rescue
two kids. We came to know that one of them has died because of insufficient
medical care and undernourishment. This kid who died started working at age of
3yrs now he was 7.
We called up the person but we could not get "seller or child" on phone. We
have left a message making it clear if the child is not freed and sent to
nearby panchayat sarpanch for rehabilitation by Monday then we will be forced
to take legal action involving police. We also contacted over phone ex-sarpanch
of nearby panchayat and she said she will help. We also got in touch with Don
Bosco people. They said once child is rescued they can sponsor the education.
Now Future action to be taken:
Locate the child. He has been quickly removed from known location to
another employer somewhere Jonai. We already have clues where he is.
There are two possibilities:
1) They by them self free the child by Monday. Then only thing needs to be
decided is how we try to rehabilitate him. Either by ex-sarpanch told state
sponsored mechanism or Don Bosco or any other method.
2) They don't free the child by Monday then I'll talk to SP,DC over phone
and will send application by FAX if they take action then its OK otherwise I'll
come back to you and mail all of you a content matter which needs to be faxed
to SP,DC,CM etc. Will give you a number to make them a call. Hopefully they
will take action at my call/fax.
Only three Fax no.s and one email id has been found though lot of phone
no.s has been found. If anybody is able to locate more Fax no.s please help.
Below is the summary of responses from all the people. Thanks for immense
response. Lets hope this rescue will be succesful. This is one of the toughest
rescue in my days with issue of child labour as this has to be taken care by
each of remotely.
