Surely she was badly dealt with and the security personals involved deserves
punishment.
But, the media persons should also behave properly . they should take care
not to provoke peoples.
i have seen many times media persons provoking peoples (Lower Level
employees, security guards at the gate) for information/explanation for which
they are not responsible.
this are happening because of mushrooming of News Channels!

The reportage on Afrida Hussain ( media worker assaulted in Assam)
raises disturbing questions of fairness in reporting.I have no issue with
accounts of the reporter's effort to highlight the HR abuses by the security
personnel----all that is very praiseworthy indeed.

What is strange is the attempt to elevate Afrida to the status of a noble
martyr slain at the altar of the security apparatus by so-called security
demons.Perhaps she was unfairly dealt with,or perhaps not---there is more to it
than meets the eye.All we have are the accusations made by Hussain. No
compelling evidence is adduced to make for an unbiased judgement.

This selective reportage masquerading as "facts",calculated solely to serve
Hussain's cause, while neglecting that the other party may have its own case to
proffer, reeks of egregious journalese. How is the critical reader to make an
impartial judgement without knowledge of all the pertinent information? Was the
other party contacted for its version of events? There is no sign that they
were.

I see no compelling reason to automatically assign a " truth" value to
Hussain's words.Pending full disclosure of facts, this blatantly skewed account
amounts to no more than slanderous gossip against GMCH.The sensible reader has
no option but to suspend judgement until---and if at all---all the facts, not
merely those convenient to Hussain are presented. One,therefore, must be
skeptical.
