Friends: I am pasting below the schedule of public hearings planned for the document on the NE 2020 prepared by the Natinoal Institute for Public Finance and Policy in New Delhi.
I have shared my views already with the NEIPF, MDoner and others involved in this exercise, saying that the document lacks vision, realism, strategies or a real understanding and grasp of the social, ecnomic and political factors behind many of the issues of the NER. Other senior figures such as Shri LC Jain have also strongly critiqued the document which (perhaps in an amended version from what was presented to some of us earlier this month) is accessible at the MDoner website. Kindly spreade the visit, attend the public hearings, read the report and express your views and concerns. They have, not surprisingly, not given much time for public hearings preparations -- just a few days! so it is important to mobilize and go to these events.
