Thank to Mr Hazarika for his efforts to show the Children of the River, the Xihus of Assam. I going to tell you some experience from my child life about Xihus. I am from a village of Barpeta district. There is a small river near our village. During childhood we used bath there. During Summer when the river flooded planty of Xihus came from downstream. We feared to take bath during these days. But from last 12-15 years we never seen it.
