Dear Friends,
The following mail is self-explanatory. Manjeet, a talented young scholar in
history is also an author and translator. His works have been published by
Sahity Akademy and Rupa. I shall be most grateful if our friends abroad can
provide some useful information to Manjeet.

Hi Pareshda,

Thanks. Yes, I can be specific on the information that i want. with regard to
post doc studies aborad, it is not something that is frequently advertised like
other levels of study. It is also like teaching assignment that he/she takes up
in that university along with research work. therefore, two things are
important here: (a) it is important to be in touch with university professors,
etc who have knowledge of if such fellowships are in the offing and when; (b)
in what fields such fellowships are available.

i specialse in culture studies/cultural history, with Assam as the base area. i
look forward to carry further this research into a comparative study of the
peculiarty of cultural constructs in Assam with reference to its location at
the cross roads of south and south east asia. the existing works in this regard
are only descriptive in nature, not conceptual.

therefore, in this connection, who are the kinds of people you think might be
able to give me some definite links to get coopted into post doc research in
some univs abroad.
