Sorry my schooling were all thru venture schools! No opportunity to pass VIII from Don Bosco, no long essay :)
I will answer Q.1 & Q.2 later. Actually, for Q.2 one needs to read newspapers "critical reading". But why Sanjoy? Pick largest circulating media like Pratidin or Assam Tribune largest circulating among English reading. Ans to Q.4: In the past Shantikam compared his achievement in building management institute with that of two-year term Chief Secretary job of Sjt Rajkhowa which Sjt Rajkhowa labeled "negative criticism". So I thought appreciating Shantikam might lower "negative criticism" :) Ans to Q.3: (from my memory hole, correct me where wrong) Neli massacre took place at a time while GOA was at a "critical phase". This phase gave lot power to that time CM Hiteswar Saikia. About 10 days before Neli massacre GOA restructured IGP based police administration to DGP based. As a result there were no top officers at their Ulubari HQ as well as most other offices. Officers were on transit or traveling to take their new posts. Police/Army/CRPF does not move without order form their own commanders. Within that 10-day period there were several small yet unique massacre all by immigrant Muslims - one in Gahpur killed at least 360 locals. Most adult males form Neli just crossed river Brahmaputra and engaged in looting/arson. So Neli victims were women/children/old. Police found the root cause how it was started. The immigrant Muslims killed a 8-year-old Lalung kid. So the slogan started "aahoi aah" "olaai aah" - Lalung tribes speak native-Assamese. Lalung tribe never took part in the Assam Movement led by Praphulla Mahanta, and they did not claim them Hindu either. Why do I call that time-frame "critical phase"? Because that was for the first time that an incapable native-Assamese ruler had so much power at hand. He was the commander-in-chief of police forces while new DGP was on transit. And it was "critical phase" because since after CM Saikia "power-grab" has been a repeat phenomenon. After CM Saikia CM Profool Mahant did (and or tried to do) the same. And current CM Tooruine Gogoi has been ahead of all past CMs. He is commander-in-chief of Unified Command Structure (includes AP CRPF Army Commando); Home Minister; Finance Minister; Chief Minister. In addition to lot others, this brutal OBC ruler is responsible for 100s of innocent Vaisnav murder and he awarded/promoted police officers for such sins murders. --Watch he going to end up like Hiteswar Saikia. What can we predict out of this "critical phase"? Any other CM to come if s(he) a native-Assamese this power-grab phenomenon will continue! Have you noticed something unique/phenomenal? During past three decades leaders of both camps (one sovereign Asom/Axom ruler; other on arm-struggle for sovereign Asom/Axom) come from same native-Assamese community. What can we conclude? Please think about it! Rabin --- "ranjuhussein" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Sir, 1. I do not understand "repulsive mannered" and why Assam Movement is its fine example. 2. Can you give examples showing how they among journalists/editors frequently rape journalism? Is Sanjoy Hazorika sir also one among them? 3. Can you tell what you know about Neli massacre that Journalists/Editors did not know? 4. Can you give us a clue why you wonder about Rajkhowa sir appreciating Shantikam sir?
