I think it will be "intellectually stimulating" should someone can come up with an idea how to stop rapidly happening CHANGES in Assam. The way it appears this "repulsive mannered engagement" is primary INPUT to whole lot of changes Assam has been going through over past three decades. Look here: One group of leaders say they are ruling sovereign Assam - here we see native-Assamese leaders like Hiteswar Saikia Prafulla Mahanta Tarun gogoi et al. The other group of leaders say they are actually on arms struggles to create sovereign Assam - here we see native-Assamese leaders like Arabinda Rajkhowa, Paresh Barua, Bhimkanta Burhagohain, Anup Chetia et al. So this is real brutal "repulsive mannered engagement" between two groups of native-Assamese - their engagement caused enormous changes in Assam. Today people going out in Assam also learn to assume they may not come back home. Notice that Kamrupi people, through out their history, did not exhibit this "repulsive mannered engagement" behaviour. On the other hand, in same Kamrupi land, Boro is now pretty much like native-Assamese with whole lot of "repulsive mannered engagement" activities. Ex-BLT led Hagrama govt. is somewhat similar to Tarun Gogoi let Ahom govt. And NDFB is somewhat similar to Paresh Barua Arabindi Rajkhowa et al led ULFA. Above is just an example! We can look at same "repulsive mannered engagement" on different scenarios too - that this is happening in this way is what is phenomenal about native-Assamese. In a way, native-Assamese seems to be are successful as well because they manage to pass on this behaviour to the Boros.
