Guys I wanted to share something with you. Few days back, Pratidin published a news on the front page saying that Arnav Kakoti has been nominated for Nobel prize in physics. If awarded, he will be youngest Nobel Prize winner 'cause he is only 22 years old.
I was wondering how can he be a Nobel prize nominated person at the age of 22 ? He is still in the 8th semester of of his undergraduation. You hardly do any research at that age except some literature review or may be some fundamental research, not extensive. Neway, I felt proud of him. But on 15th June, asomiya khobor published a news saying that whatever Arnab kakoti said or did till today ...is all made up. He made all those CTFs, corresponding mails using internet. It is all bogus. In fact he got Rs. 50000 award and felicitated by govt of assam. Do you guys know about this incident ? Now assam government ordered an investigation regarding all that. I am wondering like how Pratidin made it headline story without looking onto the matter thoroughly. lakshya
