A two-day UGC-sponsored national seminar on `Emerging Needs and Challenges of
Resource Management in Higher Educational Institutions of India with Special
Reference to the Northeast' will be held at Joya Gogoi College of Khumtai in
Golaghat district from September 18.
Joya Gogoi College was established in 1991 in Khumtai by the historic Dhodar
Ali.
The sub-themes of the topic are - `Policies for Resource Management in HEIs -
National and Regional Perspectives', `Internal Management System for Proper
Utilisation of Institutional Funds', `Governance of Alternative Career-oriented
Courses Along With Traditional Degree Courses' and `Management of
Teaching-learning Resources for Achieving Innovative Ends'. The participants
should submit an abstract in 200 words along with the registration form on or
before August 25. Full length paper in 2000 words should be submitted on or
before September 8. The abstract and the confirmation of participation may be
e-mailed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The abstract and the paper in a CD in MSWord
should also be sent along with the printed form in two sets to Dr SR Borkakoty
Sharma, Principal, Joya Gogoi College or Ananta Gogoi, Coordinator of seminar
sub-committee or Utpal Sharma, member seminar sub-committee. The organising
committee will also provide accommodation at Golaghat or Kaziranga on request
of the participants.
