Both here and on IBM-MAIN we cut you a lot of slack,
I think appropriately, that you 'misuse' only a little
if at all.  The Marist servers host a number of lists
that may of us use; and they are entitled to some slack
too, particularly as a non-profit college.

The issue here is one of misuse in context.  An unknown
poster who appears with a blatant commercial will be
objected too.  Someone whom we know well will be allowed
an occasional brief commercial.  You are and should be a
beneficiary of this implicit policy.  Leave it alone.
Drawing attention to it will not serve you well.
