OLD SYSTEM (OS/390 1.3) I'm changing from 3480 tape drives to 3590. Everything is working, but when I allocate a "private" scratch tape an IOE error always hits the console. It's not a hi-lited msg and doesn't seem to affect anything, but I can't figure out why I always get this error. If I specify "vol=ser=" for the output tape, the error doesn't occur.
