Hi

We have always ignored this small rounding differences, but here
the "end effect" was that
the generated document was different, as "hyphenation" , word
splitting worked differently.
My little surprise was, that we have changed the C++ compiler option, to
use the "standard" IEEE, but the result was
still not the same in Windows as in zOS

Hi Martin,

anyway: it's a problem of proper (that is: identical) rounding,
because the OP said that the computed pixels are one position off
on the different platforms.

Kind regards

Bernd

Bernd,

No financial - just pel positioning (printing) even cheques being
printed with a few pixels off would be accepted.

Dare do I guess what nationality the customer is that wants identical
results ;-)
