If you give a macro garbage you should not be surprised to get garbage. If
you give it something it is supposed to handle and it doesn't, that's a
different story.

The operand is documented as:
entry name: Symbol or register (15).

You are welcome to request new functionality that would handle, for
example, "(n)" as indicating to treat n as a register as many other macros
do (and, for CALL, copy from that register to register 15 for the call).
Be sure to try to provide information that would help to  justify the
cost.
