Indeed. Someone should tell the ISPF folks... Am I muddled, or did
that (highlighting in edit/view) once work correctly for L' and such?

Some of the people playing with MVS 3.8 source code discovered that
IDCAMS has a number of character constants containing non character
(low) values. To say nothing of the REPRO statements in standalone
utilities.
