FLOWASM is an exit (3 actually) to HLASM. It basically allows the relaxing of the syntax rules for HLASM code, such as not requiring a non-blank in column 72 to indicate continuation. It also relaxes the column requirements by internally reading and reformatting the input to be acceptable to HLASM. It is not a separate step.
