The z390 Portable mainframe assembler and emulator for Windows, Linux, and Apple OSX version v1.5.06 Release Candidate 1 is now available for download. This tool is free open source written entirely in J2SE Java with HLASM compatible assembler, zCOBOL compiler which generates HLASM readable assembler source with data labels, and zCICS transaction processor which runs on any TCP/IP network with multiple TN3270 terminals supported by both z390 assembler and zcobol transaction programs. This release includes a number of fixes and enhancements you can read about here:

This is test version of final release of z390 before I step back and let others take the lead on development of future releases. You are encouraged to try it out and report any problems you find.
