After some substantial research, we presented our findings to the
"offending" vendor. The vendor's representative admitted that the target of
the Program Check NEWPSW was their module. They provided a very brief reason
that this capability was used. They also stated that there is a remediation
available. I would suggest that all who are concerned contact that vendor
with a request to be informed about the remediation path.
