It seems a stretch to me that z390 would run on Android's flavor of Java, and if so at what performance level?
It might be more fruitful to try to port Hercules to Android using the NDK (native development kit), which includes a C compiler and library. Personally, it would me more interesting to me to have in a "Cloud-enabled" package containing a pre-configured Hercules and MVS3.8+. If something like this was pre-configured, say, for one of the cloud providers like Amazon EC2, then anyone could "instantly" have their own classic MVS 3.8+ box "by the hour" in the cloud. Maybe IBM would consider doing this on their cloud using zPDT? Another cool project would be to build a pre-configured Linux distro with Hercules on a Raspberry Pi ....
