Conclusion: most people don't care. There are 912 list subscribers, not counting the 483 NOMAIL people who wouldn't have seen the discussion, and few had comments/votes.
Of those that cared enough to reply, 5 (including me) want to keep the current Reply-To= List,Respect, and 3 (including [email protected] whose opinion has previously been expressed) want to change it to Reply-To= List,Ignore. One reply was ambiguous. Thanks to those who shared their thoughts... It's gonna stay like it is. We all seem to have our challenges wrt ISPs, email clients and such. There are work-arounds, like changing the To: address when you reply: I just tested this with gmail, yahoo and my UGA Microsoft webmail account. It's a bit of work, but if we were work averse, we wouldn't be writing assembler, eh? If it's driving you nuts, there are lots of other entities that want your email business... js
