A page eject before each instruction doesn't matter to me one way or another. I rarely print instruction write-ups so the extra paper isn't an issue. In PDF form, the size is almost irrelevant.
I wouldn't like single-column format, though. I'm not a usability expert, but I find that on today's larger screens, columns that are too wide require too much back-and-forth eye movement for comfortable reading. And as I get older, I can increase the font size to make it more comfortable to read without forcing the column to be 18 inches wide. :-) Note that this is more of a concern in PDF format. If an HTML format were provided then I could increase the font size and still decrease the width of the window sufficiently to make it comfortable. I'm a little surprised by the comment about the TOC on the left. I find that to be invaluable, especially when I can expand or collapse sections by clicking on them to find what I need. That's probably the only type of "drilling down" that I use. Again, I'm referring to the existing PDF format. Perhaps an HTML version would have a different way to navigate. - mb Phil Smith <[email protected]> wrote: ... > Hey, I'd be happier if it just did a page eject before each > instruction, and went to single-column format!
