Hi Ed, I tried this with HLASM and duplicated your error.
I tried it with Dignus' Systems/ASM - and got no error... when we
discover why HLASM is producing an error we'll probably need to
duplicate the behavior in Systems/ASM.
This is rather interesting... sure would like to know why HLASM
does this...
