IMHO we really need to lobby the PoOP authors to supply us with good vector 
instruction examples (of which we have none at the moment), like moving and 
comparing and operating on (pieces of) strings, not just the computational 
stuff involving fixed-point or floating-point operations.

SRST is much, much faster than TRT but still orders of magnitude slower than 
the vector instructions.
