For me this is just about still on topic as SUPERC is maintained as part of the HLASM Toolkit... I have a VM/CMS tool MERGEUPD EXEC which takes a base level of a file and versions containing two independent updates and merges them to produce a combined update. It doesn't use sequence numbers, but uses SUPERC with UPDSEQ0. However, it also uses my CMS Pipelines filter UPDSEQ0 REXX which applies UPDSEQ0 updates and can accept two or more update streams and apply them to the primary input stream. Alternatively, it can take multiple parallel input update files and produce a combined update file which could be applied to the common base file. I guess it might be helpful if I found some way to make these tools easily available externally (such as via the VM Download Library). Jonathan Scott HLASM, IBM Hursley, UK
