This seems to be a problem with the OP's DNS. Can't reprodude.
Finger-pointing time:
544 $ nslookup
> listserv.ua.edu
Server: 10.128.128.128
Address: 10.128.128.128#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: listserv.ua.edu
Address: 130.160.0.24

Server: 10.128.128.128
Address: 10.128.128.128#53
(Seems to be a DHCP server, but I get similar results from OpenDNS.)

Non-authoritative answer:
listserv.ua.edu mail exchanger = 10 mx1.ua.edu.
listserv.ua.edu mail exchanger = 10 mx2.ua.edu.
