The perl code allows you to write DOS batch files and interpret them in perl, 
it also allows you to run the batch files provided for testing z390.

If you are a Linux user and programmer, you are probably more comfortable using 
perl for scripting rather than batch files.

I wrote a perl script, called z390, which can be used to assemble link and run 
IBM assembler files by executing the Java directly from perl. So I don't need 
to install anything from the perl directory in z390_v1702 to run it under Linux.

A copy of the perl script is attached.

I'll be happy to help anyone who needs help getting z390 to work under Linux.
