Folks, MVS 3.8J does not have HLASM only the old Assembler XF, and of course you can add other assemblers, but they are all old style, not HLASM compatible. The nearest thing to HLASM that's in the public domain is the Z390 package which contains everything you need to learn basic assembler on a PC,
