All, I agree with Shmuel - the procedure for submitting comments seems so easy. But you have to find the page on the IBM site which is not that easy when working from a downloaded PDF.
I have managed to find a flaw in the PoP, but cannot find the page to submit the issue :-( Details (for those who care): The VUPL instruction is described on page 21-28 and 21-29. It defines 4 extended mnemonics: VUPLB VUPLHW VUPLF and VUPLG However, in the index J (list of extended mnemonics) on page J-23 it lists VUPLB VUPLHW VUPLHF and VUPLG That is: VUPLF is incorrectly listed as VUPLHF, duplicating the VUPLHF extended mnemonic for the VUPLH instruction. If anyone manages to find the proper pointer, could you please share? I'd prefer to submit any issues I find directly to IBM. Kind regards & happy programming, Abe Kornelis ========== On 19/06/2025 16:58, Seymour J Metz wrote: > It's saying that they didn't run a grammar checker on it and that the only > reason there was no RCF is that they killed the easy submit process. > > "Any carry out of the 32-bit addition is discarded. > The 64-bit intermediate result will have bits 0 to 31 of the results > forced to zeros, i.e., zeros are prepended to the result of the 32- > bit intermediate addition." > > -- > Shmuel (Seymour J.)
