Thunderbird shows those URLs as active anchors.  With another
client I use, I must copy/paste them.

be able to reply to any single post with an email client, as
the discussion-threading references won't get updated for your

Isn't there a standard for dissectable digests?  But what
servers and clients respect it.

And there's the curse of smart-ass editors which make it
almost impossible to postcode samples.  They're either flowed
or treated as paragraphs: double spaced and indention lost.
