(this message has been posted to both ASSEMBLER-LIST and IBM-MAIN) When Dave mentions Peter he is talking about me, Peter Morrison.
I have been in the mainframe game since 1978, initially on VS1, then MVS and its successors... I pushed for and got XDC installed at Software Developments (the Net/Master people) in 1990, and I was an enthusiastic user of XDC until 2017. (that's 27 years). Prior to using XDC, we debugged using TSO TEST. I now shudder to think that we did that! >From 2017 until the present I have been lucky to actually be part of the XDC >development team. (you can thank or blame me for TRAP2 breakpoints and >Dump/XDC) I can't speak highly enough of Dave (formally, David Cole): "... standing on the shoulders of Giants." (Isaac Newton, 1675) I think the above quote sums up my feelings. Dave has left an indelible legacy with his development of XDC. It is up to us to ensure that his legacy is not forgotten, and is improved upon. 3 cheers for Dave! Peter Morrison
