I completely agree - in fact that's what I said in the first place.
That's why I wrote the code the way I did - [although IIRC it was Jeff
Haemer and I who were on the POSIX side ;-)].
I asked someone in IBM about AIX 5.2 because it's easy for me to do, and
I'd like to know for other reasons (I have other scripts that run on AIX).
