(I just noticed this thread isn't on the mailling-list - do you want to add it so others can see/search for this error message?)

Running "make install" from the same directory that I ran cmake and cpack in runs for a bit but also fails looking for the "AssimCtypes.py-install" file:
=== begin ===
dan@CMA01:~/Assim/bin$ sudo make install
-- found gnu
-- Notice: Enabling the strictest GCC flags.
-- Configuring done
-- Generating done
-- Build files have been written to: /home/dan/Assim/bin
[ 1%] Built target generate_frametypes
[...lines deleted... - Dan]
-- Up-to-date: /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/assimilation/__init__.py
CMake Error at cma/cmake_install.cmake:60 (FILE):
  file INSTALL cannot find
"/home/dan/Assim/Assimilation-v0.1.0/cma/AssimCtypes.py-install".
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  cmake_install.cmake:66 (INCLUDE)

make: *** [install] Error 1
=== end ===

Since it's looking in the original directory I extracted the v0.1.0.tar.gz package to, I double-checked and the "AssimCtypes.py-install" isn't anywhere under the "/cma/" directory, either.

Is it missing from tar.gz file?

Yup - development and accounting for all the bazillions of goofy configuration quirks always is. :)

I haven't tested with that combination of versions. 1.5 of py2neo
changes some things in somewhat incompatible ways. I believe I have
those handled in the tip, but they may be needed - once we get you
   past your other issues.

I just committed the changes I was working on (new code that isn't
called yet) - so I should be able to look at your problem a little more.

If that version of cmake doesn't work, then maybe you could do a
make install to let you start playing with it

FWIW, this is a basic Ubuntu 12.04.2 server install.

Neo4J is 1.9.2 (done using the steps listed here:
    http://www.neo4j.org/download/linux).

Since there doesn't appear to be an "apt" repository supplying it,
py2neo is installed using "pip install py2neo" after installing
the "python-pip" package. (Using these notes:
    http://book.py2neo.org/en/latest/install/#installation) The pip
output reported it was downloading "py2neo-1.5.1.tar.gz".

    Thanks,

        Hi Dan,

I probably biffed something. Thanks for reporting this. I'll
try and reproduce it on my machines and see what I get...

Cpack is kind of a mystery to me too. It doesn't make very
good packages - and I'm not terribly happy with it - but I had
hopes it would make nice packages for all environments. Doesn't quite live up to that.

I haven't run that version in a while - but I surely had
        installed it before...

What version of Neo4j and py2neo do you have installed? (it's
not important for your error, but it will cause you troubles
RealSoonNow if it's too new for that release).

and 'cmake' appears to have worked fine (no errors
reported), but when the "cpack" command is run, I get an error.

Here is the output from both:

        2: "cpack" output

I'm new to the cmake/cpack files so I don't understand how
        the AssimCtypes.py-install is created.

I searched with Google but didn't get any hits...

        Suggestions?
