All these input data under goes an anti money laundering process using the application called SSC. The SSC application will generate the alerts on the suspected/abnormal transactions, customer and on accounts. The alerts will be further investigated and filed as Suspected Activity Report to the authority. There are hundreds of custom built shell scripts, which have been added to the systems as part of enhancements. The SSC application has some supporting applications and tools like DataFuse (wire based transaction monitoring), Cash Aggregation and SAS Micro Structuring rule process. The SSC online application is used by the business investigation users. This application helps the bank to comply with the Anti Money Laundering and Regulatory requirement of the govt. As per the SSC new architecture, the SSC application is a java based web application. The client is a jsp page and renders the request to the controller servlet. The controller servlet routes JSP request to the appropriate model object. The model layer has the business logic to process the request and return the responses back to the client. This application runs on the WebSphere Application Server which has been deployed in the AIX Server. The Websphere interacts with the DB2 database. The nightly scheduler have been constitutes around 800 batch jobs. A bunch of application control jobs are scheduled through the Cron job. The MET (Manual Entry Tool) is a web based application for adding up a new financial institutions and new banking products and which comes as a reference information to the AML investigation application.The MET application is based on the MVC-2 architecture, Where JSP is the client and the Servlet act as the controller and Oracle as the database. Hibernate has been implemented as object relational mapping This application has been deployed on the WebSphere Application Server.
