Exciting opportunity to join a Billion $$$ Leader in the Consumer Digital Media & Entertainment Industry. We are seeking a Solaris/Linux Administrator for a long term contract opportunity. You'll join an R&D Engineering Team working within an R&D Lab environment and responsible for installing, testing and evaluating new digital technologies, products and services for introduction into the marketplace. You'll work with a high-powered team of developers and engineers in the areas of video streaming, VoIP, music downloading, gaming, wireless applications, GPS and other exciting technologies. Required Skills: . 5+ years Solaris/Linux Server Administration Experience. . Hands-on experience with wiring & cabling - hubs / bridges / routers, connectors, patch panels, etc. . Any database experience is a plus. . Knowledge of Microsoft Windows O/S environments on both the desktop & server . Any Telecommunications industry experience is a plus . IP configuration experience is a plus . Systems programming experience with languages, ie: C, C++, C#, Unix/Perl Scripts is a plus . Educational background in Computer Science / Information Technology and/or Engineering .
