largest agencies in Maryland state government. DPSCS oversees all aspects
of supervision for sentenced offenders in the state prison system, the
treatment facilities. DPSCS IT office is located 6776 Reisterstown Road,
Baltimore, MD 21215.
*We have an agreement with DPSCS for IT staffing.*
Statement of Work
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, has need for a
Java programmer to assist in the support of the Kiosk Offender Management
application to provide updates for new reporting and functionality.
Deliverables
· Create a monthly report on the total number offenders registered,
and number that are currently active.
· Create a monthly report that will allow Supervisors to get a count
on the number of active offender for their office, and a breakdown of
offenders by Agent/Monitor.
· Necessary change and support documentation.
Required Skill Sets:
· A minimum of three years of advanced Java programming experience.
· Ability to read and comprehend the existing web based applications
written in Java.
· Ability to write advanced Java code within the framework of the
existing applications.
· A minimum of three years of experience using Struts and JSP.
· A minimum of three years of experience in Ibatis or Hibernate.
· Use functionality that provides communication to pass data to and
receive replies from outside data sources.
· A high level of system design skills.
· A minimum of three years of Oracle database and experience.
· Experience using MQ Series.
· Advanced knowledge and experience working with WebSphere
application server.
· Have knowledge and experience using Web Services.
